Before you begin...
- Examine
the product for damage during transit.
- Railing
and posts have been precut for your convenience.
- Post
and Fascia mountings have seperate installation instructions
Post
Mount Installation
- Measure
and place center marks on the deck 6? apart where the
bottom mounts will be placed. Using 4 ¼? carriage bolts,
drill the top mount brackets into the deck being sure
they are perfectly parallel to the edge.
- Lay
out the post and railing making sure that corner post
are at every corner. End posts must go against a wall
or any point your deck ends. Center posts are placed in-between
the end and corner post.
- At
any point a water channel meets a post you need to caulk
the seams to avoid water leaking down the post and under
your deck.
- Insert
each post into its corresponding mount. Starting with
the first post disconnect the post mounts and insert them
into either the top or bottom bars of the railing. Connect
them to the railing via ½? screws through the holes in
the post mounts. After attaching all 4 post mounts to
the railing, mount railing and post mounts back to the
posts at their original location and reinsert the screws.
Repeat until all mounts and post are installed.
- Place
decorative caps on the top of all posts.
Fascia
Mount Installation
- Measure
and place marks on deck every 6? apart where the fascia
mounts will go. Attach the fascia mounts by drilling two
holes through the fascia mount and deck then insert 2
6? screws. It is accentual the fascia mounts are perfectly
vertical which can be done with a level. Using 2 6? bolts
fasten the fascia mounts.
- Lay
out the post and railing making sure that corner post
are at every corner. End posts must go against a wall
or any point your deck ends. Center posts are placed in-between
the end and corner post.
- At
any point a water channel meets a post you need to caulk
the seams to avoid water leaking down the post and under
